FDA-designated
Cytotron for liver cancer
The second of the three FDA-designated cancers.
Cytotron® therapy is always planned into the care your oncologist provides, never instead of it. Sessions last about an hour, you lie comfortably, and nothing enters the body.
What you should know
- Where it fits
- Planned around resection, transplant assessment, TACE, ablation and systemic therapy, with the timing agreed case by case. Many of the patients we meet are on systemic treatment or between treatment lines.
- Liver function guides the timing
- Your bilirubin, albumin, INR and overall liver reserve shape whether now is the right moment and whether daily attendance will suit you. We ask for recent liver function tests as part of the free review, so we can give you a considered answer rather than a quick one.
- A word on expectations
- Liver cancer is often diagnosed late, and families arrive having been given difficult news. We'll always tell you plainly what we think is realistic in your situation, before you commit to anything.
